Cashmere Fire Crews Successfully Contain Blaze on North Dryden Rd

The fire is reported to have destroyed a home and spread into the adjacent hillside.

Chelan County spokesperson Jill Fitzsimmons says the fire luckily did not spread beyond the transfer station scrap yard.

A meeting was held last Thursday at the Dryden Fire Station where Chelan County Fire District 6 Chief Andy Lee gave a presentation.

When firefighters arrived to find a tool shed had already burned down, with roughly six pine trees still ablaze.
