PUD staff said power was restored in Plain by 8pm Saturday. Equipment failures led to outages in both area early Saturday morning, roughly between 4am-6am.

The department says the source of the fire was potentially a heat tape application, but the cause is still under investigation this morning.

It's called Chelan County Living, which includes sections focused on outdoor recreation, local wildlife and wildfires among other things.

Crews will start the process this week on a mile-and-a-half section of the highway.
