Rep. Kim Schrier raises alarm over Kroger-Albertsons merger; fears impact on farmers and consumers.

The majority of locations are in the west side, especially in King County.

It's one of nearly 579 stores across the country marked for sale in the merger as is the Ellensburg Safeway.

Kroger will begin a series of payments over 11 years.

It looks like there may be a major change in how some of us get our groceries in Washington state in 2024.

It's almost a third of Washington's Kroger and Albertsons locations, which operate under the Safeway, Albertsons and Fred Meyer brands.
