Omak Man Dies After Hitting Deer with Motorcycle on SR 20

A 70-year-old Omak man has died after striking a deer with his motorcycle on State Route 20.

Washington State Patrol says it happened at approximately 11:48 a.m. Friday when Steven E. Zitting was eastbound on State Route 20 near milepost 274 in Okanogan County and struck a deer that entered the roadway.

Troopers say Zitting died at the scene and was wearing a helmet.  Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
